Programs and Projects - Supporting Female Trauma Survivors Living with Disabilities
Along with our partner, The Anne Johnston Health Station, we are preparing to offer a series of Level I and II support groups for female trauma survivors living with disabilities.
This project is the result of a previous partnership between Springtide Resources, The Anne Johnston Health Station, and the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic which produced the pilot support groups for trauma survivors. Building on that work, and the success of the support groups, we are now working on the development of a training module highlighting aspects of the support group model and the issues related to trauma and disability not often addressed in the VAW sector counselling services.
