Programs and Projects - Moving on to Success


Through a range of appropriately designed services and supports, we will work in partnership with the YWCA LinksToJobs Employers’ Network and two lead employers PPG Canada and D. Gary Gibson and Associates. It is an innovative partnership that will assist women in making the transition to sustained and satisfying employment.

This project has two objectives:

  1. To offer women who are survivors of abuse, in abusive situations or are at risk of abuse a holistic range of employment training supports, to enable them to build their assets and move on to economic independence. To support the women and employers so the outcome would be a good work experience and therefore help to facilitate job retention.
  2. Identify and document recommended best practices for a resource package for employers, VAW and community-based training practitioners.
